Story
Das Studio are an award winning Architecture and Design practice founded by husband-and-wife duo Sara Horstmann and Dino Vrynios. Since 2018 Das have expanded their business to house a growing team of 20 Architects, Interior Designers, and Professionals within their light and bright McLaren Street studio on the lands of the Kaurna people of the Adelaide plains.
For us, it’s about nurturing relationships and re-defining value to create better outcomes for all.
Culture
In everything we do, we strive for better – better processes, better relationships and better outcomes. We feel comfortable challenging convention and refuse to blindly accept the way things are, as the way they should be. We’re generous with our time and with each other, because we believe giving is better than taking. We’re makers – makers of spaces, makers of solutions and makers of joy, making a difference to make every day better.
Services
Architecture, interior design, master planning, new builds, alterations and additions, adaptive reuse of heritage places, pre-fabricated and modular construction, hand-holding and good vibes.
Reflect – Reconciliation Action Plan
Das Studio acknowledge First Nations people as the Traditional Owners and Custodians of Country.
Embracing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history, knowledge, and culture enriches Australians’ lives with diverse perspectives, wisdom, and opportunities for collective growth and prosperity.
In order to ensure that First Nations voices are heard, their rights must be upheld and their voices actively amplified by supporters of reconciliation. As makers of the built environment we must ask ourselves what role we can play in the advancement of reconciliation in Australia – a landmark that is far too long overdue.
Das Studio celebrate the formal endorsement of our first Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). With humility, hope, and conviction we embark on this path, laying the foundations for our commitment to listening, learning, engaging, and contributing to reconciliation through meaningful action.
Always was, always will be.
